Description of project

The Westminster Presbyterian Church is a landmark structure in downtown Minneapolis. The scope of civil engineering work on this project included renovation and expansion of the structure, visual condition assessment of the foundation, and designing the structural framing for the sanctuary floor, balcony, ceiling, roof and exterior walls including the towers and chimneys.  The movement of the exterior walls was monitored over much of the renovation process.  Restoration services for Westminster included design of internal reinforcing elements for the north and south gable walls of the sanctuary and structural repairs and upgrades for the sanctuary floor, balcony and ceiling framing.
