Wastewater Treatment Plant
Project Location: Bemidji, Minnesota

Bemidji is the first major discharge of the Mississippi River.

Therefore, water pollution control is of special importance to the environmentally sensitive area.

The phosphorous effluent limitation for the Bemidji facilities is the most stringent in Minnesota and among the lowest in the United States. Since Bemidji began operation of the advanced wastewater treatment facilities, the plant has met this strict requirement.
