The Younger Member Group shall seek to encourage the full professional development of members 35 years of age or younger and endeavor to increase their participation in all levels of the Society. 

In other words, YMG hosts regular SOCIALS to encourage NETWORKING and information exchange among younger members and students. YMG actively seeks involvement in OUTREACH opportunities in the community. We provide leadership and involvement opportunities for young engineers that they otherwise may not get until later in their careers.  Most importantly it is FUN!

2. •To support and foster the development of students and recent graduates as they enter the civil engineering profession
   

3. •To assist younger engineers in preparation for the PE exam
   

4. •To provide a training ground for developing future leaders of ASCE
   

5. •To regularly nominate YMG members for section and national awards
   

6. •To improve and maintain the public image of the civil engineering profession
   

7. •Conduct construction TOURS
   

8. •Encourage attendance at general Minnesota Section meetings
